Small curved cutting edges:

The stone is placed on a flat surface.
The blade is obliquely moved on the stone in the "cutting" movement, with the correct inclination. The blade faces are alternately whetted.
Small straight cutting edges:
The stone is placed on a flat surface. The blade is obliquely moved on the stone in the "cutting" movement, with the correct inclination. The blade faces are alternately whetted.
Large cutting edges:
If the object that is to be grinded is to large to hold in ones hand it needs to be placed on the edge of a table. The object needs to be grinded down with a larger grinding stone and the grinding needs to be done with a circular motion.
